Who provides the Service

The Service is operated by the PetTandem operator (“PetTandem”, “we”, “us”, “our”). See Contact for how to reach us.

What PetTandem offers

PetTandem helps people keep track of pets, routines, medication-related instructions and activity records, and coordinate care among authorized household members and caregivers. Available features may depend on the app version, permissions and network connectivity.

PetTandem is an organizational tool, not a veterinary service, medical device or emergency response service, and it does not replace professional veterinary advice.

Accounts and eligibility

You need an account to use account-based features. Sign-in methods may include Apple or Google. You agree to provide information you are authorized to provide and to take reasonable steps to protect your account and devices.

You must meet any applicable minimum age and eligibility requirements. Tell us at support@pettandem.app if you suspect someone else has gained unauthorized access to your account.

Accuracy and care responsibilities

You and the people caring for a pet are responsible for checking the accuracy of care information entered in the Service, including feeding instructions, medication names and directions, schedules and completed-task records.

A recorded task or handoff shows information entered through the app. It does not independently verify that care was performed correctly. Reminders can be delayed, missed, disabled, or affected by device settings and connectivity. Do not rely on the app as the only safeguard for urgent or time-critical pet care. For medical questions or emergencies, consult a qualified veterinarian or a local emergency provider.

Shared care and permissions

Care-team features let authorized users share information about pets. Depending on the assigned role and pet access, a team member may view records, complete tasks, change routines or take part in handoffs. Invite only people you are entitled to involve in a pet's care, and check access permissions from time to time.

Before submitting another person's email address or details, make sure you have an appropriate reason and permission. Do not assume that revoking access removes copies someone has already saved outside the Service.

The capabilities of each role are defined by the actual app permissions, which take precedence over any general examples in these terms.

Your content

You keep whatever ownership rights you have in information and materials you add to PetTandem. You give us the limited permission needed to store, process, display, synchronize and share that content with authorized care-team members to operate the Service, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

You must have the right to provide what you submit. Please avoid adding unnecessary sensitive information about other people, or unlawful or harmful content.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• access someone else's account or information without authorization;
• misuse invitations or care-team permissions to harass or impersonate others;
• interfere with or try to compromise the security or availability of the Service;
• upload content that infringes others' rights or breaks applicable law;
• use automation or abusive traffic to bypass controls or disrupt the Service.

We may take reasonable steps to investigate misuse and protect users, including restricting access where appropriate and lawful.

Features, availability and updates

We may update features, fix security issues and perform maintenance. App performance can depend on third-party services, device software and internet connectivity. We cannot promise uninterrupted, error-free operation.

If we materially change or discontinue a paid service, applicable consumer rights and purchase terms continue to apply.

Pricing and subscriptions

If PetTandem offers a paid plan, its price, billing period, included features and any trial or renewal terms will be shown before you confirm a purchase. Purchases made through Apple's in-app purchase system are billed and managed by Apple under the applicable App Store terms.

You can view or cancel an Apple subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling usually stops future renewals and does not automatically refund charges already made. Refund eligibility depends on applicable law and the purchasing platform's process.

Deleting the app or your account does not necessarily cancel an App Store subscription.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Care-team sharing, account deletion and other privacy choices are also explained at Privacy Choices.

Account deletion and ending use

You can stop using the Service and start account deletion through the in-app account deletion option described in Account Deletion. We may need to verify the request or ask you to confirm an irreversible action. Email support@pettandem.app if you need help.

We may suspend access to protect security or in response to serious misuse, consistent with applicable law. Account deletion and any remaining shared records are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. We will not promise immediate erasure of records we cannot verify have been removed.

Intellectual property

The PetTandem software, branding, interface and original materials belong to the applicable rightsholders. Subject to these terms and App Store rules, you receive permission to use the Service for its intended purpose. Third-party and open-source materials remain subject to their licenses.

Links and third-party services

Sign-in services, app distribution and other operational functions may involve independent providers. When you use those services directly, their terms and privacy policies can also apply. The iPhone app is also subject to Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement unless a custom agreement is adopted. External links are provided for convenience and do not guarantee that third-party content or services will always be available.

Disclaimers and legal protections

To the extent the law allows, PetTandem is provided without a guarantee that reminders, user-entered instructions or care-activity records will always be complete, timely or accurate. Verify important care instructions yourself and seek veterinary advice when needed.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, warranties or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including mandatory consumer protections and responsibility for fraud or intentional wrongdoing where applicable.

Applicable law and disputes

Mandatory protections that apply where a consumer lives are not displaced merely by these terms. Please contact support@pettandem.app first if you think there is a problem. This does not remove your legal right to pursue other remedies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service develops. The effective date shows when the latest version took effect. We will give additional notice of material changes where the law requires it. Changes do not remove rights users already have under applicable law.
